Frequently Asked Questions for SKNV Patients

How do I get a SKNV medication?

SKNV medications require a prescription. To receive one, you’ll need to visit a dermatologist who can evaluate your skin and determine if a SKNV treatment is right for you. Any licensed dermatologist can prescribe SKNV medications.

If you need help finding a dermatologist who partners with SKNV, email info@sknv.com and our team can assist you.

My doctor prescribed me a SKNV medication. How do I get it?

Within 24 hours of your appointment, you’ll receive a text message from SKNV with a link to access your SKNV patient portal. Once you log in, you can enter your information and complete payment for your medication.

In your portal, you can also:

  • Track your shipment in real time
  • View the status of your prescription
  • Request refills
  • Chat with the SKNV customer success or pharmacy team
  • Manage your patient profile

Everything you need after receiving your prescription is handled directly through your SKNV portal.

How do I get my refill?

You will receive a text message reminder with a secure link to complete your refill payment. To purchase your refill, log in to your SKNV patient portal. If you prefer help from our team, you can contact SKNV customer service at any time to request a refill.

When is my prescription eligible for a refill?

Your refill timing is determined by your prescriber; typically, every 30 days, unless they authorize a different supply. If your provider approves a 90-day supply, we can process that as well.

When your prescription becomes eligible, SKNV will send you a secure text message with a link to easily place your next order.

Do you keep my credit card on file?

For Direct-to-Patients (DTP) to ensure your security, we do not store credit card information. You can securely save your payment details in your patient portal for future transactions by using the secure text link provided during online checkout. If you choose to pay over the phone, you will need to provide your credit card information each time.

How are SKNV medications prescribed?

SKNV medications are prescribed by your dermatology provider as part of your visit. After evaluating your skin and determining the right treatment, your provider will prescribe a SKNV medication and offer two convenient ways to receive it:

  • Dispense-In-Office: Your provider may dispense your SKNV medication directly during your appointment, so you can begin treatment right away—no pharmacy visit required.

In both cases, your care stays guided by your provider, ensuring your treatment plan is tailored to your specific needs while making access simple and convenient.

How long does shipping take, and how do I track my order?

SKNV medications ship via FedEx. After your prescription has been processed, standard shipping typically arrives within 7–10 business days, and expedited shipping arrives within 2–5 business days, depending on your location in the U.S.

Once your order ships, you’ll receive a tracking number by text, so you can follow your package in real time.

If you haven’t received your tracking number or need an update, please contact us at (800) 646-5040, and our team will be happy to help.

How do I obtain a receipt?

To receive a receipt, please contact our customer success at (800) 646-5040 and provide your email address. We will send the receipt to you promptly. You can also email our customer success at info@sknv.com to request your receipt.

Do you take insurance?

SKNV medications are offered through a simple cash-pay model. We’ve chosen this approach to keep pricing clear, affordable, and predictable for our patients, especially since many specialized medications aren’t covered by insurance. This way, you always know the cost upfront and can receive the treatment your provider feels is best for you.

Are the medications safe to ship in extreme temperatures?

Yes, our medications undergo rigorous quality testing under both high and low temperatures to ensure their stability and integrity during shipping.

How do I know if a medication contains an ingredient I am allergic to?

For a comprehensive list of ingredients in your medication, please contact cs@sknv.com or (800) 646-5040 to speak to SKNV Customer Success.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently do not offer international shipping, we exclusively serve the 50 states within the U.S.
