Fenovia Solution

Fenovia Solution is a customized topical prescription dedicated to addressing fungal infections. This medication combines four fungal infection-fighting active ingredients to help each patient address their concerns in an accessible and affordable way. 

Being a topical solution, Fenovia Solution is unique from its branded and generic counterparts, as over-the-counter products only offer fluconazole and itraconazole in oral form.

Fenovia Solution contains four active ingredients commonly prescribed to target fungal infections to ensure that providers prescribe their patients a well-rounded, customized formulation clinically different from branded or generic anti-fungal medications. These active ingredients include: 

• Fluconazole is a medicinal agent used for the treatment of fungal infections. It is often used on more serious fungal infections, stopping the growth of the fungus. 

• This particular solution contains fluconazole at a potency of 4%. 

• Ibuprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) often used to relieve pain and fever and reduce inflammation. It can also be used in topical compounds to support the actions of the other active ingredients. In this formulation, ibuprofen works to support anti-fungal activity and prevent fungus growth. 

• This particular solution contains ibuprofen at a potency of 2%. 

• Itraconazole is another medicinal agent used for the treatment of fungal infections. It is often prescribed by doctors to prevent fungus growth in areas of infection. 

• This particular solution contains itraconazole at a potency of 1%. 

• Terbinafine HCL is an anti-fungal agent that aims to pause the growth of the fungus causing the infection. 

• This particular solution contains terbinafine at a potency of 4%. 

This combination of topical fluconazole, ibuprofen, itraconazole, and terbinafine is one factor that makes Fenovia Solution distinct from branded or generic medications.

Use your Fenovia Solution exactly as directed by your doctor. This customized formulation is for topical use only and should be stored in a cool, dry, and dark place. 

Typically, as an anti-fungal solution, a doctor tells the patient to apply a thin layer of the solution on the affected area, avoiding contact with the eyes, mouth, and mucous membranes. 

Try to keep a regular dosing schedule with this medication. If you realize that you forgot to apply Fenovia Solution, apply the medication as soon as you remember; however, if you are close to applying your next dose, skip the missed dose and apply as normal.  

Especially for fungal infections on the nails or toenails, a doctor might recommend that you trim your nails regularly, especially the affected nails; using nail clippers and nail files can help remove a loose nail or an affected nail area. It is best to avoid using nail polish or nail cosmetic products on top of a nail fungus, even while using this medication.
