It’s 2015. The healthcare system, specifically the pharmaceutical supply chain, is broken. Disinterested third-party payers run it. Providers, constricted by these payers, cannot prescribe their desired dermatology medications. Patients cannot get their necessary dermatology medications, at least not at an affordable price. Congress and the Food and Drug Administration recently passed the Drug Quality and Security Act (DQSA); the DQSA enabled a new class of drug manufacturers, 503B Outsourcing Facilities, to produce customized medications in mass without requiring a patient-specific prescription. Recognizing this climate, SKNV steps in as a customized, high-quality, and accessible solution that the dermatological space is missing.
Today, at SKNV, we manufacture 120+ customized dermatology medications from our own FDA-Registered 503B Outsourcing Facility. Located in Florida, we are the first pharma company and pharmacy to cater to patients with sensitive skin and to individuals who care deeply about what they put on their bodies.
Our experts know that one size does not fit all, that branded and generic medications are not for everyone, and that the old pharmaceutical supply chain can be expensive and unavailable. We fill that void by manufacturing medications across 17 dermatological states that would ordinarily carry a premium price, but we make them accessible by eliminating the intermediaries, including the wholesalers, distributors, PBMs, and pharmacies.
