Divendo Shampoo

Divendo Shampoo is a personalized prescription medication that aims to help patients target their dermatitis. This formulation of medicine combines two active ingredients into one medication, attempting to address dermatitis both at its source and via its troublesome symptoms.

Divendo Shampoo features a unique combination of active ingredients, both of which play an important role in targeting dermatitis concerns, including itching, irritation, redness, and swelling. These active ingredients include: 

• Ciclopirox is a medicinal agent often used topically to treat fungal infections. These anti-fungal properties help diminish yeast and fungus growth, both of which can contribute to dermatitis symptoms. 

• This particular formulation contains ciclopirox at a potency of 0.77%. 

• Clobetasol propionate is a corticosteroid prescribed by doctors to treat eczema, psoriasis, and various forms of dermatitis. For seborrheic dermatitis specifically, it is considered an effective form of treatment because of its antimycotic and anti-inflammatory abilities. 

• This particular formulation contains clobetasol propionate at a potency of 0.05%. 

This combination of ciclopirox and clobetasol propionate as two topical active ingredients makes Divendo Shampoo unique in comparison to over-the-counter products. 

SKNV’s Divendo Shampoo is also distinct from branded drugs and generic medicines because it is formulated without certain inactive ingredients that could be potential allergens or irritants for certain patients, as determined by the patient’s prescriber, including disodium laureth sulfoccinate, benzyl alcohol, ethyl acetate, isopropyl alcohol, sodium hydroxide, methylparaben, butylated hydroxytoluene, mineral oil, and alcohol. 

Upon a provider’s request, zinc pyrithione and tea tree oil can also be implemented into the Divendo Shampoo formulation as inactive ingredients.

Divendo Shampoo should be used according to the exact instructions of your healthcare provider. This customized topical formulation is designed for external use only and should be stored in a cool, dry, and dark place. 

Usually, a doctor recommends that the shampoo be used at least one (but up to three) times a week, depending on the patient’s affected area/application site, tissue vascularity, individual tolerance, and desired outcome. For more curly or coily hair, it is often advised to use this medication less often. Daily applications are usually not recommended, as Once applied, wash your hair with this prescription, targeting the affected areas, and rinse off as you would rinse off with a typical shampoo. Avoid contact with the eyes and mouth. 

For optimal outcomes, try to maintain a consistent dosage schedule with your prescribed medication. If you realize that forgot to use your Divendo Shampoo, apply it the next time you target your treated area. However, if you are close to applying the next dose, skip the missed dose and wash regularly. Do not overdo usage to make up for the missed dose, and follow your provider’s directions for the dosage and frequency of usage. 

Contact your doctor immediately if you experience an allergic reaction, which may include skin redness, irritation, itching, swelling, or burning. In other words, if you experience adverse side effects or if you believe that your dermatitis symptoms become worse or more severe and do not improve within 4 weeks, contact your healthcare provider.

Inform your doctor about any sort of different medication/drug, supplement, or product you are using at the same time as Divendo Shampoo. This includes other dermatitis products, oral medicines, cosmetic washes, or name-brand shampoos. Follow your doctor’s instructions about using the topical medication, especially in consideration of potential drug interactions.
